I’m Lily Ray, an SEO consultant, international speaker, and the founder of Algorythmic. After more than a decade leading award-winning agency teams in New York City, I built this consultancy to do what I do best: help companies navigate the rapidly shifting landscape of search with strategies rooted in quality, authority, and long-term growth.
Today I serve as an independent consultant through Algorythmic, while continuing as VP of SEO Strategy & Research at Amsive, where I lead the research agenda on algorithm updates, E-E-A-T, and AI search.

15+ Years in Search
I come from a family of software engineers and web developers, so technology was always the backdrop. I discovered SEO while studying at NYU in 2010 and never looked back. What started as a fascination with how search engines work became a career spent at the forefront of the industry.
Over the next decade, I built and led a 35-person award-winning SEO team at Amsive (formerly Path Interactive), serving Fortune 50 clients and developing deep expertise in algorithm analysis, E-E-A-T, content strategy, and much more. That work earned multiple industry awards, including Best SEO Campaign and Best SEO Team at the Search Engine Land Awards, U.S. Search Awards, and The Drum Search Awards.
In 2022, USA Today named me the #1 Most Influential SEO Expert, a recognition that reflects not just SEO expertise but a commitment to sharing knowledge with the broader industry through ongoing writing, speaking, and mentorship.
Today, I run Algorythmic as an independent consultancy while continuing to serve as VP of SEO Strategy & Research at Amsive, bridging the worlds of hands-on client work and industry-level research.
